Paper Sculpture

Welcome! I'm Wendy Bale,

a visual artist in Jamestown, New York.

My passion is paper.

I make nature-themed paper sculptures and paper cuts. I'm a member of the Guild of American Papercutters.

I'm excited to offer my latest body of work called LifeSlice now available through my website. (See highlights below)

You can also find a selection of my work at Painted Finch Gallery

in Corry, PA and Chautauqua Art Gallery in Jamestown, NY.

Ceramic
Sculpture

The leap from paper sculpture to ceramic sculpture has been rewarding over this past year. Working fully three dimensionally and with the foibles of firings and the chemistry of glazes has been an exciting challenge.

Coinciding with my current obsession with fungi, the resulting Mushroom Menagerie was born. The collection continues to grow.

Drawings

My art career began in my twenties with pen and ink drawing for a living. Drawing is the root of all the artwork I do and over the years I have explored many fascinating mediums.

Current available work includes silverpoint and charcoal.

I truly have a love affair with charcoal —both traditional and liquid versions. This large scale piece shown behind me here is "Mead Island Queen". It is  available through Painted Finch Art Gallery in Corry, PA.

 DM me for information.
