The Little Story
This was a tale straight out of a children’s book. A lovely dinner of red winter berries was on the menu. This young raccoon, probably newly out on his own, was making smacking sounds as he enjoyed mouthfuls of the juicy berries. Oblivious to my camera just inches away his expression was pure delight. The meal was suddenly cut short as a human family walking the trails approached the photo blind I was hiding in. This was the look of disappointment he made as he realized he was not alone.
